Picasa 3.0 for Linux is a nice photo manager but lacks certain features.  No free plugin-in API exists to my knowledge to create new ‘buttons’ for uploading to custom sites, etc., but by using the provided desktop hook scripts, it seems possible to extend Picasa to achieve certain effects.
